COMPETENCE DEVELOPMENT
SECDI’s competence development programs are all competence based, requiring participants to be able to demonstrate their ability to apply knowledge. Competence is demonstrated by submission of relevant case studies or scenario-based assessments.

a. Fundamentals of Safety Engineering
The certificate program focuses on the fundamentals of Safety Engineering (Hazard identification and control design) The program modules cover:

b. Competence in Surface Traffic Management:

PREREQUISITES FOR PARTICIPATION:
Since SECDI’s mission is to develop competence, there are specific requirements that participants must comply with to participate in some of our programs.
This is specifically important where our clients are companies that are paying for employees participating in our programs. Our programs ensure that companies get value from their investment in their human resources.
For participating in our “Competence in Traffic Management Program”, participant first need to pass our “Fundamentals of Safety Engineering Program”.
- Participant occupational profile
Our programs require both commitment and basic cognitive skills. Our participant occupational profiling will identify individuals that will require additional attention to achieve competence, as well as assist participants to know beforehand how relevant the program will be for their current occupational role.
