We collect and process your personal information mainly for the purposes of sharing information, letting you know of upcoming events, new competence programmes and safety related developments. For this purpose, we will collect contact details including your name and organisation.
Since we are operating within a specific community (Safety) we will from time to time request you to provide us with information that will be for your own and the community’s benefit. This information will be requested directly from yourself if you choose to be part of the community.
We collect information directly from you where you provide us with your personal details.
We will indicate to you what information are required and what information is optional.
Website usage information may be collected using “cookies” which allows us to collect standard internet visitor usage information.

We will use your personal information only for the purposes for which it was collected and agreed with you. In addition, where necessary your information may be retained for legal or research purposes.

For security purposes you will have to upload a copy of your ID document to confirm your identity before we can provide the details of your personal information.
You have the right to, at any time, request that your information be removed from our database. Simply unsubscribe on our website.
Currency of your information
You have the right to ask us to update or correct your personal information. Simply use the update my information on the website.
Definition of personal information
According to the Act ‘‘personal information’’ means information relating to an identifiable, living, natural person, and where it is applicable, an identifiable, existing juristic person. Further to the POPI Act, SECDI also includes email addresses as personal information.
